      Yes. There are quite a few questions that are similar to this one and have many good answers. A few good things about engineering as an occupation in no particular order:
      It can be interesting
      It pays reasonably well
      You learn and develop a lot doing it
      You can get to travel with it
      You get a feel of achievement, you add real value
      It is very useful and hence chances of employment are quite high at all times
      Engineers tend to change what they do over their career, i.e. not stuck in the same thing forever
