• Question: Do you think the vostok is linked to the end of the world?

      I doubt it. I assume you mean Lake Vostok in Antarctica (rather than the space rocket in which Yuri Gagarin flew to be the first man in space). If you mean the lake, then sampling the water may tell us about life as it was over 400,000 years ago but will be unlikely to tell us about the future.

      I am not sure which Vostok you are asking about, could you explain a bit more please and do you think it is linked to the end of the world?

      Not sure – I always thought the end of the world was most likely to come from the earth being struck by a huge asteroid!
