I worked in a completely unrelated field – I worked in marketing for a holiday company. This meant I was doing things like going to holiday resorts and trying to find new hotels for people to stay in and then writing about them to go in a holiday brochure, then trying to work a price to charge people.

This job was actually really really stressful, so I quit and moved towns. It was only later that I started work in engineering, and that was by chance really – I’m lucky as I really enjoy it now!
