      Hello again Jed!

Costa Rica was really different to work in – and even more different in Nicaragua. In Nicaragua I spent a lot of time walking to small villages in remote areas, where there were no roads or cars. I was working on supplying water to these places by tapping a spring on a hillside and then piping the water down to their village. What amazed me was people’s generosity there – whenever I arrived somewhere I was greeted very warmly and people let me stay in their house – usually in their own bed! Their houses were very basic too, with mud floors, animals living in the house, no electricity or water and a wood fire to cook on. They made really nice food as well!
