      I don’t “do” idols. However, I greatly admire Nelson Mandela and Bishop Desmond Tutu both of whom have Wikipedia entries.

      I agree idol is to strong of a word. I always try to not make anyone or anything an obsession. The hardest thing is not to take yourself too seriously.

      There are people that I have massive respect for, however it is for their certain qualities, I am sure they all had down sides too. Here are a few:
      Euler, Newton, Exupery, Tolstoy, Mendeleev

      At the moment I would have to say Lionel Messi – how amazing is he playing right now? I hope he wins the champions league.
